I've only just begun ...

About two weeks ago I bit the bullet and bought my first DSLR. Needless to say, I love it. It's a Canon XSi 12.2 megapixels. I currently only use the "kit" lens with the camera. So far it's been great. I am planning to purchase a 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 sometime in the future as well as a few filters.

I also completed a certified photography course. Now that I have the actual understanding of aperture and shutter speed and how they work together to get different effects, I'm looking forward to using that knowledge to improve my skills.

My ultimate goal with this camera is to "break" into some wedding and portrait photography. I've previously photographed weddings for friends.
