Just for fun ...




We'll be leaving September 17, 2010, and returning September 25 or 26, 2010. I'm so excited. We'll be spending our one year anniversary in Florida! I imagine I'll need to unload my memory card from my camera more than once a day!

I had my first "shoot" today. One of my sister's friends asked me to take some portraits of her and a couple of her horses. We had a really good time. I took over 400 pictures. Here are some of my favorites ...







































































































I really need to get that 50mm lens. The kit lens does a good job, but they could have been a lot more crisp. I also need to work on properly using the light that's available in combination with my flash AND get a slave flash. Learning process, that's what this is. I'm loving it!

Anyhow, Lindsay has another horse she'd like to get pictures of. So, another nice day in a week or so, we're going to find some nice wooded trails and do it again. I'm also doing some pictures for my sister and her horse sometime soon.

Worked a bit last evening on a business card design in Photoshop. Came up with this and ordered it from Vistaprint! I'm anxious to get them.

Have I said lately how much I love this camera? I definitely need to invest in a macro lens or start off with some macro filters and see how they do.

More of Mom's flowers. Thank goodness she has lots of them. I always have something to take pictures of.

Goofy titles, I know. This is what happens when I'm left to my own devices. Anyhow, here are some shots I've taken with my new Canon while out and about.




























They're not perfect, I know. They're what I can do with my current lense and photoshop knowledge. It'll be interesting to see how my eye for things improve.
